David Bowie Performs an Ethereal Acoustic Version of "Heroes," with a Bottle Cap Strapped to His Shoe, Keeping the Beat (1996)

Now not way back I stumbled upon this pretty gainedderful video of David Bowie playing an acoustic version of “Heroes,” certainly one of my favourite songs, and I believed I’d fastly percentage it as of late. Why wait?

Seeming at Neil Younger’s annual Bridge Faculty Benehave compatibility concert in October 1996, Bowie provides us a stripped-down version of the moving track he co-wrote with Brian Eno in 1977. Flanked via Reeves Gabrels on guitar and Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, Bowie strums his acoustic guitar. The entire whilst, he faucets his foot, letting a bottle cap, taped to his shoe, lend a hand in creating a according tocussive beat. It’s all saved elegantly simple. Hope you experience.

Donations to The Bridge Faculty, which is helping children overcome serious speech and physical impairments thru the usage of technology, will also be made right here.

Be aware: An earlier version of this put up gave the impression on our web page in 2016.
